Friday 8th July from 7.30 p.m. at the Guide HQ - Wollaston Recreation Ground outdoor scouting activities, games & food Your chance to meet the leaders and for them to meet you. |
|
The Stourbridge carnival takes place on July 3rd and we will need the help of scout parents, as many as possible please, to man the road blocks in one hour sessions throughout the day. Please contact a scout leader if you are able to help. |
A personalised letter about membership subscriptions for April 2011 onwards has been sent out *. Where at all possible we would like parents to set up standing orders or electronic funds transfers with their bank/building society for ra one-off or 12 monthly payments, so we have included a partly completed standing order form at the end of the letter. N.B. The subs are the same rate as last year. *Download a non-personalised version of the 3 page letter here. |

The remainder of this site is divided into different sections, as is the Scout Group itself. Please click on one of the following to go to that section:

The Beavers section introduces people to the world of scouting. Meeting once a week, Beaver Scouts make friends, go on visits, and, of course, have fun. The age range is from 6 to 8 years old. Our Beavers meet on Wednesdays from 5.45 to 7 p.m. |

In Cubs, young people from about 8 to 10½ years old play games, have fun, and explore the outside world. Being slightly older than Beavers, Cub Scouts can be more outgoing, and try new things. Our Cubs meet on Wednesdays from 7 to 8.30 p.m. (after Beavers). |
Being 10½ to about 15 years old, Scouts take part in a plethora of activities, ranging from camping to abseiling, climbing to canoeing... the list is endless. It's a perfect break from the usual after-school routine. Our Scout troop meet on Fridays from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. |

Explorers (about 15 to 18 years old) generally do the same as Scouts, but with more responsibility; setting up their own camps, and helping out during meetings. They also take part in more adventurous activities. Explorer Scouts are organised at a District level, and we no longer have a unit based with the Wollaston group. |
Photo Gallery - pictures of events involving our group members. Recent photographs include: Scout Summer Camp 2009, Sponsored Abseiling, Scouts Summer Camp 2007 and a Visit to the Centenary World Scout Jamboree. |
