Explorers (and beyond)
(young people from 15 to 18 years)
At Wollaston we no longer host an explorer scout unit.
We encourage our older scouts to continue their scouting activities by joining the local explorer scout unit.
We also welcome their assistance in running other sections in the group.
Explorers from our group often join in with the Scout Troop camps.
Explorer scouts are organised at District level by the District
Explorer Leader
and the Assistant District Commissioner - Explorers.

After the age of 18 members can join the Scout Network.
This is organised at County level. One of the aims of of the network
is to provide the "raw material" for leadership in other
sections.
Over the recent few years the group has welcomed back at least 3 ex scouts who have gone on to be fully trained as scout or cub scout leaders.
